THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 2 YEARS DUE TO FUNDING.

We currently have an exciting 2-year fixed term/secondment opportunity available.

The post holder will play a key role in:

  1. Creating a new system of innovation for CTUHB based on agreed strategy
  2. Strengthening links between Innovation and Quality Improvement
  3. Creating a process for stimulating, harvesting, triaging and progressing innovative ideas in CTUHB
  4. Identifying commercial and non-commercial grant funding opportunities and writing grant applications to secure funds to support and deliver innovation in CTUHB
  5. Promoting innovation amongst staff in CTUHB  

The successful candidate will be working as a member of the Innovation and QI team comprising of the Executive Director, Assistant Director for Innovation & QI, a Knowledge Transfer Officer and an Admin Support Officer. The post will be reporting directly to the Assistant Director and will line manage both the Knowledge Transfer officer and the Admin Support Officer. 

Whilst this is a fixed term/secondment opportunity there is potential for this to become a permanent role if the Innovation team successfully secures on-going commercial grant.

The post is based at Ynysmeurig House, Abercynon, however, you will be expected to travel across all sites of the Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
