An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to work in the tier 4 CAMHS inpatient unit, Ty Llidiard, serving the population of South, Mid and West Wales.
Ty Llidiard is situated on the Princess of Wales site in Bridgend, 18 miles West of Cardiff and 20 miles East of Swansea, with close proximity to the Gower Peninsula and the Brecon Beacons.
Ty Llidiard is a modern, purpose built unit that was opened in 2011, with a full dedicated multi-disciplinary team providing care for up to 15 young people. The philosophy of the unit is primarily based on an assessment model, with strong liaison with community teams for the delivery of agreed treatment plans. Much of the work is with direct management of cases as inpatients but as much emphasis is on assessment in the community and liaising with other community teams and agencies.
