An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service for a punctual and reliable staff nurse with a flexible approach, to work as part of a large multi disciplinary team.

We are looking for a highly motivated person with an interest in working with children, young people and their families. As a band 5 nurse responsibilities would include delivering treatment packages to children and young people in our care. The successful candidate will have effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure. Experience of working with children and young people with mental health problems is desirable.

Following induction and training, the post holder will work with young people in CAMHS ,with the opportunity to have placements within the Cardiff and Vale team. To gain experience from placements in CITT and Crisis and the opportunity to have experience in the inpatient unit in Bridgend,
The successful candidate must have the ability to work the full shift pattern within a Multidisciplinary setting, be a good team worker with the ability to be flexible with working hours and manage their time effectively. The post requires good liaison skills to work closely with other professionals and agencies, such as Social Services, Educational Departments and the Voluntary Sector.

There will be an Induction together with ongoing training and supervision. A Mentor will be provided.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post.
