THIS IS A FIXED TERM POSTITION FOR 12 MONTHS FROM AUGUST 2018
Applicants are invited to apply for a CT2 LAS in ENT Surgery at Cwm Taf University Health Board.
The successful candidate will be one of a number of junior Doctors who will be supported by a team of consultants, middle grades and Nurse Practitioners.
The role will cover all aspects of ENT Surgery and is an ideal opportunity for candidates who wish to gain wider experience in the speciality in an acute setting. The post has a provisional on call commitment 1:12 inclusive (this may be subject to change) on the combined general surgery/trauma out of hours on call rota.
The post is not formally recognised for training purposes however a structured teaching program is in place. The department also has a keen and well-supported clinical audit and research record with recent presentations at both national and international meetings.
The Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant is part of the Cwm Taf University Health Board (UHB) sharing services with its sister unit Prince Charles Hospital in Merthyr Tydfil. The UHB is situated adjacent to the picturesque Brecon Beacons National Park and is only 20 miles from Cardiff with its capital city amenities and transport links.
