An exciting development opportunity has arisen for a two year secondment, as a Band 7 Ward Manager, within the Mental Health Directorate, at the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Royal Glamorgan Hospital. Considered applicants will be Registered Mental Health Nurses who currently hold internal substantive posts at Band 7 or 6 level. Those shortlisted will be applicants aspiring toward becoming a ward manager and have extensive knowledge, practice, experience and understanding of the operation of the inpatient unit.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills, be able to work alongside existing team managers and have the personal characteristics to lead a strong, experienced and supportive team in a challenging and rewarding environment.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
