Applications are invited from suitably qualified Biomedical Scientists to join our team in our friendly, well equipped Microbiology service based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant
The department has achieved UKAS accreditation to ISO 15189 and is an IBMS approved training laboratory.
This is a permanent full time position based in within the Microbiology Laboratory.
The post will involve working shifts including nights.
The laboratory is currently equipped with Biomerieux, Bruker, Beckman and Launch equipment but there is an ongoing procurement for an pan Pathology MSC in progress.
Applicants should be registered as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health Professions Council but candidates with IBMS accredited degrees may also be considered for appointment as a trainee.
Staff development is a priority for us and all staff are encouraged to study for further qualifications such as the IBMS specialist diploma.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
