ONE POST FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO MATERNITY COVER


An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Nurse at Band 5 with an interest in Radiology services to join our friendly, busy team at Cwm Taf Radiology.

The Directorate is also seeking a Band 5 Nurse on a fixed term position for 12 months to cover maternity leave. 

Cwm Taf University Health Board covers a population of approximately 300,000. Welsh Government has approved funding for the Diagnostics Hub at Royal Glamorgan Hospital to develop a significant role in early diagnostics and ambulatory care to include additional innovative interventional procedures.

The successful applicants will be based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital Radiology Department but will be expected to be flexible to service needs and will work at other sites within Cwm Taf University Health Board.

Applicants will possess BSc in Nursing and be PIN registered. Once in house training is completed you will be expected to participate in the out of hours on call service. There is a requirement for this job to wear protective equipment, it would be recommended to visit the department to familiarise yourself with the PPE and duties.

Cwm Taf University Health Board currently has 5 sites providing Radiology, Royal Glamorgan Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda, Ysbyty Cwm Cynon and Dewi Sant Hospital.

The post holder will gain experience in a wide range of interventional Radiology procedures, supporting the patients before, during and after invasive procedures and work closely with Consultant Radiologists and other clinicians to deliver a safe and effective service across all Radiology modalities. You will participate in Radiology Directorates Nursing shift systems and on call rotas as required.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this role.
