An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research & Development Team in order to provide support to research active professionals to progress research, facilitate recruitment and help develop a portfolio of collaborative research throughout all aspects of primary care across the Cwm Taf area, aligned to the key themes documented in the Primary Care Research Framework and R&D Strategy.
The post holder will support the Assistant Director for R&D in meeting the Welsh Government R&D related metrics and key performance indicators for commercial and non-commercial research, as part of the NHS R&D Delivery Performance Framework. They will support primary care research and enhance engagement across the research / primary care landscape to improve research activity and performance within this setting with a strong steer towards supporting life and health sciences research.
The post holder will support collaborative R&D programmes and provide support to UHB research active professionals in the formulation and submission of high quality research study designs to appropriate bodies and with a view of achieving clinical research portfolio adoption. They will support the undertaking and monitoring of active studies to include the collection, collation and analysis of research related data and they will facilitate and provide support in the recruitment of patients to high quality clinical research studies working flexibly across sites to ensure success.
The post holder will need to develop knowledge of research related legislation to include MHRA, Human Tissue Act, Data Protection Act, Research Governance Framework, Mental Capacity Act.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
