Applications are invited for a Consultant T&O Hand Surgeon.
The successful candidate will join the existing Trauma and Orthopaedic Department at Royal Glamorgan Hospital. The post will have an ‘on call’ commitment on a 1:8 basis.
This post will join the team of consultants responsible for the provision of Trauma and Orthopaedic Services to the University Health Board in Cwm Taf. The Consultant post will be based at Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Llantrisant, and will also be required to undertake sessions across other sites within the organisation.
The post will be required to share with Consultant colleagues the responsibility of providing Orthopaedic outpatient and inpatient care for the local population and in doing so foster excellent working relationships within and outside the Orthopaedic Department. It is expected that the candidate will have appropriate experience in Emergency Trauma Surgery, where unscheduled emergency admissions are managed. The candidate should have appropriate experience and preferably a recognised fellowship in Hand surgery.
