Are you passionate about providing excellent Haematology care? Do you have the knowledge and skills to develop care provision across the whole patient pathway? Could you help play a pivotal role in the coordination and further development of service provision to Haematology patients across the Health Board? If so then our ever evolving, enthusiastic, and friendly team is looking for you.

Cwm Taf University Health Board has partnered with Macmillan Cancer Support to offer the exciting new role of Macmillan Clinical Haematology Nurse (Band 7).

Working with the Haematology team, you will initiate and support service development and improve patient experience across both sites. You will be responsible for shaping the service to ensure our patients have the best possible experience and that our care is in line with the ‘Cancer Delivery plan’. Our patients are at the heart of what we do, you will be instrumental in gaining their feedback and using this to shape the service, along with regular audits. Based north of Cardiff we are lucky to have excellent road networks and easy access across the whole Health Board.

You would be joining a Health Board whose philosophy ‘Cwm Taf Cares’ is at the heart of everything we do. Our commitment to the health, wellbeing and development of our staff is recognised with the highly coveted Platinum Corporate Health Standard. An advanced understanding of haematology care is preferred. However, this is not essential as candidates with appropriate oncology or chemotherapy experience would be fully supported by the Health Board within their Macmillan post to further gain the knowledge and skills required to professionally develop in the role. The post holder will work within the haematology MDT and with colleagues from other site specialist teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills will be essential to this role.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post
