THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 12 MONTHS TO COVER A SECONDMENT.
Do you have a passion for community nursing and are looking to develop your knowledge and skills in this field. If so we currently have a fixed term band 5 vacancy within our Children's Community Nursing Team in CTUHB.
This team of qualified children's nurses and health care support workers provide nursing support to children with complex health needs across Cwm Taf. This care is mainly provided in the child's home, but you may also be required to provide care in a school setting.
The Children's Community Nursing Team also supports the acute service, which allows for discharge planning. They accept a number of referrals to prevent unnecessary admission to hospital and also provide a variety of clinics supporting outpatient services.
We are looking for a compassionate, motivated and reliable individual who has a desire to care for children in the community setting. Within this role you will be responsible for a caseload of patients in addition to providing ongoing support and training for healthcare support workers engaged in the delivery of continuing care.
The team works collaboratively with other agencies so excellent communication skills are required.
Comprehensive induction and ongoing training will be provided.
This post is shift work and includes nights.
