An exciting opportunity has arisen for Band 5/6 Midwives to join the Maternity Team in Cwm Taf University Health Board. Various posts are available including full and part time hours. The successful candidates will based at Prince Charles Hospital but with an initial requirement to work in the current Obstetric Unit based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital including the Alongside Tirion Birth Centre.
There has never been a more exciting time to join our team. Cwm Taf University Health Board have approximately 4000 births per annum. Service developments due for completion in 2018 will see the availability of all four models of care available to women accessing our service. We feel privileged to be able to offer women Home birth, Freestanding Midwifery Unit based at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital plus a state of the art new Consultant Led Unit equipped with a birthing pool, in addition to an Alongside Midwifery Unit with two birthing pools both based at Prince Charles Hospital.
All staff new to the Health Board are offered a well established Preceptor-ship and induction programmes and there is opportunity for continuous CPD, eg Newborn Examination, Neonatal Advanced Life Support, Regular study days on Water-birth and increasing normality. PROMPT courses are part of the annual multi professional mandatory training programme.
