Then a fixed-term opportunity to provide expert dietetic advice and support for palliative patients and their families may be of interest to you. The Band 7 Specialist Macmillan post is based in the heart of a palliative care hospice/ward in a light airy homely environment working in partnership with a team of dedicated staff whose shared aim is to bring quality of life to all patients and carers.

 

You will journey into the wider community to visit patients and have the privilege of stepping into their homes to offer guidance and support around nutritional and many other aspects of their palliative care journey. You will have the unique opportunity to translate and adapt theory and guidelines into what works for patients in the most challenging of circumstances. This may not always be easy but it is immensely rewarding and you’ll have strong team support. This is a tremendous opportunity to flourish and learn within a speciality.

 

The department of Nutrition & Dietetics has an excellent reputation for delivering innovative and high quality patient care throughout the Health Board. The department encourages and supports continued learning and development to grow a resilient and dynamic dietetic workforce.

 

Due to the fixed-term duration of the post and if applying for a secondment to your current role, please ensure you have agreement from your current line manager before applying.

 

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
