An exciting opportunity has arisen within Cwm Taf University Health Board to appoint a motivated and innovative qualified Band 6 School Nurse (SCPHN) to join our school nursing team. The post is 37.5 hours per week term time only Monday to Friday based initially in the Cynon area, but this will be reviewed as service needs require.
Applicants must be a Registered Nurse with a specialist qualification in school nursing and current NMC registration. Able to travel to undertake the duties of the post at various locations is essential
We are looking for professionals with excellent communication skills who are able to work both within a team and on their own initiative. As a School Nurse you will contribute to the provision of Specialist Nursing (School Nursing) to the population of Cwm Taf University Health Board and have continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs and the delivery and evaluation of skilled professional interventions providing a family centered public health service. The post holder will have responsibility for a defined area of children, families and communities, within an identified group of schools in a locality area within Cwm Taf University Health Board.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
