Post: Specialist CAMHS Nurse (drug and alcohol service)
Base: Child and Family Centre, Tonteg, Church Road, Pontypridd
An opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 RN (MH) to work within the Community Young person’s drug and alcohol service CAMHS team across the areas of Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
The post holder will provide a highly specialist nursing service to a caseload of young people presenting with complex difficulties in association with misuse of substances. To provide a comprehensive Tier 3/4 treatment package to the young person and their family. To provide highly specialist advice to relevant agencies in relation to the management of these young people.
To participate in the specialist formal education, training and consultation both within CAMHS Directorate and to relevant partner agencies. To regularly participate in audit and research in own specialist area.
There will be a requirement for excellent report writing skills, and the ability to consult and liaise with other agencies.
The post holder would have had previous experience of working within CAMHS.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
