Applications are invited from a suitably qualified and experienced Anatomical Pathology Technologist (APT) to fill the role of Mortuary and Bereavement Manager to lead and develop the mortuary and bereavement services team, across multiple sites within Cwm Taf University Health Board.
The candidate will be registered with the Association of Anatomical Pathology Technology (AAPT) and be able to demonstrate a theoretical and practical knowledge of mortuary techniques and procedure. The candidate must be enthusiastic, self motivated with proven leadership / management skills and have a track record of excellence in after death care.
The successful post holder will be required to work autonomously to liaise with a multidisciplinary team involved with the care of the deceased and the service users, to deliver a positive, caring and professional service.
The service is fully computerised, carrying out approximately 650 post mortems per annum across two sites with further expansion imminent.
The mortuary services at CTUHB are currently accredited to UKAS ISO 15189:2012 and are licensed to HTA Code B.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
